Complete Concrete, Inc. was happy to sponsor the 2020 Block Kids Building Competition put on by (NAWIC) National Association of Women in Construction, Black Hills Chapter #269. This event took place at the Club fo Boys on Saturday, January 18th. This fun competition gave both boys and girls from Kindergarten thru 6th grade the opportunity to use their imagination and build something construction related using 100 legos, a piece of string, a piece of aluminum foil and a rock. Prizes were given in each age group for the best construction related idea. Mark Noteboom, head of safety and workforce developement with Complete Concrete, helped with set up and was also one of the judges at the event. Misty Fuller, employed by Complete Concrete, Inc. sat on the NAWIC Block Kids committee as promotion and marketing. It was a great time and it awesome to see the kids come up with ideas to improve the construction industry.
Complete Concrete is partnered with the Rapid City Area Schools to promote and provide opportunites for the kids of our community to be involved and learn the construction industry. We are able to offer opportunites and share knowledge of all aspects of construction and construction management. We are excited to help the youth to gain skills to help them thrive in the job force.
Misty Fuller and Mark Noteboom represented Complete Concrete, Inc. on March 20th, 2019 at the 21st Annual Black Hills Job Fair in Rapid City. Over 85 local employers and more than 1000 job seekers attended the event providing the opportunity to meet many new candidates face to face in one setting.
Complete Concrete, Inc. continues its commitment to work force development by participating in the Associated General Contractors of South Dakotas Fall Construction Camp. CCI provided a concrete awarenss station where high school age students from the west river area were able to produce their own concrete project.
