In this project CCI provided a new Operations and Maintenance Building for the Watertown area maintenance crews of Western Area Power Administration. The new building was located on the site of 2 previously removed Structures. As a result there was quite a lot of removal and prep work required prior to beginning construction. The foundation and subgrade requirements were quite heavy, and so a lot of work went into the foundation. The basic structure was a pre-engineered metal building. The heating system utilized was a radiant system with PEX tubing cast into the floor system. This building provides the space required to keep Western’s maintenance equipment warm and ready to respond to power outages across the Watertown region. It also provided for crew areas for taking breaks and training.
